### Procurement Information

The Air Defence and Electronic Warfare Systems (ADEWS) Defence Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), intends to Award a contract to Thales UK Ltd to procure the Provision of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) System at Mount Pleasant Complex (MPC), Falkland Islands and RAF Gibraltar. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication pursuant to Article 28(1) (e) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(a)(i) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011). FI SDH - The role of the SDH Network at MPC, FI (hereafter referred to as FI SDH) is that of a data bearer sub-system which carries traffic generated by end-users in a seamless and reliable manner.
