The employer invites Tenderers to provide the service for the kerbside collection and treatment services for recyclable materials. The Tenderer will provide a comprehensive collection, treatment, and onward sale arrangements for a range of dry recyclable materials, which must include as a minimum at the commencement of the contract: paper; cardboard; metal tins and cans; plastic bottles, tubs, trays and pots; textiles; tetrapak(r); glass bottles and jars and aluminium foil. The contract is for approximately 46,640 dwellings in the Ballymena and Carrickfergus areas.

Renewal: the contract period for these services shall run from the 1st of November 2024 to 31st of October 2025. The Council reserves the right to extend the Contract up to a further 12-month period. Any extension may be subject to further approval by Council Committee, availability of funding and satisfactory performance of the Contractor.
