## Summary

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council has completed the award stage for a Framework Agreement aimed at providing lifting adaptations in domestic properties. The framework is segmented into several lots, including step lifts, wheelchair stairlifts, through-floor lifts, straight rail stairlifts, curved rail stairlifts, and outside stairlifts. This procurement initiative, classified under CPV code 44115600 (Stairlifts), has been structured as an open procedure. The process, which began with the tender stage on 28th May 2024, moved swiftly to the award stage, culminating in multiple contracts granted on 29th August 2024. The contracts each hold a value of £1,400,000 and span various types of stairlifts and lifting equipment crucial for accessibility within domestic settings.

This framework presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialised in manufacturing, supplying, or installing lifting adaptations. Companies with expertise in producing stairlifts and other lifting equipment stand to benefit from engaging in this long-term agreement. Potential participants ideally include large-scale suppliers capable of meeting the stringent quality specifications and social value criteria laid out by the council. The opportunity to be part of a prestigious framework managed by a regional authority like the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council can significantly bolster business profiles and facilitate market expansion, especially in the healthcare sector's lifting equipment domain.
