## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council has completed the procurement process for the "Garden Maintenance, Groundworks, and Estate Clearance Framework Agreement" under the open procedure. The framework focuses on landscape gardening services and related activities, encompassing garden maintenance, groundworks, minor landscaping, fencing, tree cutting, estate clearance, fly-tipping uplifts, and litter picks. This contract addresses the needs of the Council’s 20,000-strong housing stock, particularly the approximately 1,500 homes that become vacant annually. The process reached the award stage on 21 November 2024, with key suppliers including idverde Ltd, Glendale Countryside Ltd, and P1 Solutions Ltd participating in the contract, which entails a responsive citywide service across Edinburgh.

This framework agreement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in landscape gardening, waste disposal, and estate clearance services. Companies proficient in managing residential property grounds, especially those capable of efficiently meeting the council's reactive and planned maintenance schedules, stand to benefit. Businesses holding necessary qualifications, such as waste carrier licenses and adherence to health and safety regulations, will find this contract particularly suited to their capabilities, fostering potential growth through reliable, high-volume council work.
