## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MOD), facilitated by Babcock Land Defence Limited as an agent, has entered into a contract with Supacat Limited for the repair of Jackal assemblies and associated items. This contract, categorized under repair and maintenance services of military vehicles, is a significant undertaking within the defence sector. Positioned in Telford, UKG21 region, the agreement commenced on 5th May 2025 and spans five years, with two additional one-year options available. The procurement method was limited, relying on a negotiated process without publication of a contract notice due to technical exclusivity. A significant sum of £14,000,000 has been allocated for this contract, illustrating the importance of these services.

This contract presents substantial business growth potential for companies specialising in maintenance services within the defence industry. SMEs with existing capabilities in military vehicle repair can explore subcontracting opportunities through Supacat Limited, leveraging the business ties established by this agreement. The defence sector's stringent technical requirements underscore the need for companies to possess specialised expertise and access to proprietary designs, which could drive business development for those who can meet these demands. This opportunity is particularly suitable for firms in the UK that are prepared to engage with the complex technical and regulatory landscape of defence procurement.
