## Summary

The Midlands Partnership University Foundation Trust conducted a procurement process titled "Needle Syringe Programme" in the category of addiction treatment products. This award process, captured in October 2025, is for the provision of needle and syringe products and associated services. The procurement aimed for a nationwide rollout encompassing regions like Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Telford, Staffordshire, and Portsmouth. The process concluded with the awarding of the contract to Exchange Supplies Ltd in September 2025, indicating a completion of the tender cycle. The procurement was conducted via an open procedure, with a focus on providing goods to key locations through community pharmacies and direct service user delivery.

This tender represents significant business opportunities for companies engaged in the production and supply of medical and clinical products, particularly those specialising in addiction treatment. Companies with an expertise in logistics and e-learning platforms are also well-suited for participation, given the requirements for a flexible delivery service and staff training components. The NHS Foundation Trust's investment in this programme, valued at approximately £578,960, reflects the substantial market potential for suppliers that can meet the demanding service requirements and geographical reach of this national health initiative.
