## Summary

The Lambeth Schools' Consortium, located in the London borough of Lambeth, recently awarded a contract for catering services across its 32 primary schools. The procurement process culminated with the award in April 2025, selecting Harrison Catering Services Limited as the supplier under a selective procedure, specifically the restricted procedure. This contract encompasses school catering services as per the CPV classification 55524000. The contract, valued at approximately £15.5 million, will begin in September 2025 for an initial period of five years with a possible extension of two additional years. This process, conducted under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, highlights a commitment to quality service by mandating the supplier's capability to manage large scale operations and meet specialised requirements such as those for schools without kitchen facilities.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in school catering services, particularly those with proven experience in the sector and a strong operational presence in London. With a wide scope covering 32 primary schools and a substantial financial value, it is particularly suited for medium to large enterprises capable of delivering high standards of service consistently. Businesses with an established expertise in managing tailored services for Special Educational Needs and Disability Schools, as well as facilities management for kitchenless schools, will find this opportunity ideal for growth. The tender process welcomed variant bids, providing flexibility for innovative service solutions, thus opening the door for enterprises that can offer differentiated and elevated service standards. The adoption of the London Living Wage by all participating schools further underscores the Consortium's commitment to fair and ethical service delivery.
