The procurement process, titled "Farming Connect," falls under the category of agricultural, forestry, horticultural, aquacultural, and apicultural services, classified with the CPV code 77000000. The procurement utilised a selective method under a restricted procedure, with the procurement stage currently listed as "Award." The Farming Connect programme presents considerable opportunities for entities involved in agricultural consultancy and service provision, particularly those with expertise in knowledge transfer, lifelong learning, and advisory services. Organisations with strengths in providing customer service, marketing, and communications within the agricultural sector stand to gain from the awarded contracts, especially large-scale suppliers like Mentera, which have been recognised as suitable partners. This initiative aims to address the evolving needs of the agricultural sector in Wales, which could benefit SMEs looking to expand their market presence and influence through meaningful partnerships and service delivery.
