The objective of the modification is to ensure the grounds are maintained to a high standard, mitigating
potential safety risks such as vegetation obstructing the Approved Organisation's highway network, encroaching into buildings and rodent infestation.

Grounds Maintenance contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:

- Grass cutting
- Weed spraying
- Tree inspection surveys
- Hedge/shrub/rose/flower bed maintenance

Regular grounds maintenance ensures that any potential hazards, such as uneven surfaces or overgrown vegetation, are identified and addressed before they cause accidents such as:

- Trips hazards due to vegetation encroaching onto paved areas
- Motor accidents as a direct result of vegetation reducing visibility at junctions/bends on the Trust's road network
- Trees or parts thereof falling onto vehicles/people/Trust property
