## Summary

The NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is in the process of awarding a significant contract under the UK Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime for Children's Integrated Therapy (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech & Language Therapy) and Equipment Services (CITES) across Sussex. The contract, with an annual value of £5,196,000, is initiated through a direct award process without prior competition, circumventing the need for the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This comprehensive service aims to improve children's developmental potential, health, and well-being through integrated health and equipment services. The process, currently in the tender stage, involves a standstill period lasting until 31 July 2024, while the contract is set to commence on 1 April 2025, for a term of five years with an optional two-year extension, potentially culminating on 31 March 2032.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in community health services, particularly those focusing on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and integrated therapy services. Companies with expertise in occupational, physiotherapy, and speech therapy will find this a fitting opportunity. The emphasis on seamless integration with existing health, education, and social care systems provides a competitive edge to providers demonstrating the ability to innovate and collaborate effectively. The services must align with national standards such as those from NICE and NCEPOD, further adding business value through adherence to high-quality service delivery expectations. The procurement’s focus on value for public investment and social value highlights opportunities for businesses to not only generate revenue but also contribute positively to social outcomes and community health improvements.
