## Summary

Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd has issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) regarding a future procurement opportunity titled "Common Safety Method (CSM) Support for Electrical Safety," under the industry category of civil engineering consultancy services. The PIN aims to inform suppliers about a forthcoming tender process expected to commence in the third quarter of 2024. The procurement process, currently at the planning stage, seeks to engage with specialist third-party organisations for CSM assessment services to support the Electrical Safety Delivery (ESD) Programme. The procurement covers a national scope across the UK, and interested suppliers are invited to express their interest by emailing their responses by 16th August 2024. The contracting authority, Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, is headquartered at Waterloo Road, London. Any subsequent tender will be conducted through the Network Rail e-tendering system, BravoNR.

This tender provides an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in hazard protection, control consultancy services, and safety assurance within the rail industry. Companies with expertise in conducting Hazard Identification (HazID) workshops, producing safety cases, and human factors assessments stand to benefit significantly from this engagement. This contract, projected to span four years, will drive business growth by allowing firms to contribute to an important safety programme and gain a foothold in the railway sector. Businesses with the appropriate skill sets and experience in safety compliance and technical assessments are well-suited to participate in this tender process.
