## Summary

Essex County Council, in collaboration with Thurrock Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council, and the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, has launched a tender for Pan Essex Domestic Abuse Services. Classified under the social work and related services industry (CPV: 85300000), this procurement process is conducted under the open procedure method and is currently at the tender stage. The project aims to redesign the domestic abuse service offerings across Essex, with an initial funding envelope of £25 million plus potential additional funding of £20 million. The services are split into four active lots focusing on various aspects of domestic abuse support, covering regions including Colchester, Southend, Thurrock, and Chelmsford. The deadline for electronic submissions is 30th September 2024 at 12:00 PM BST.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specializing in social work, particularly those experienced in providing domestic abuse support services. Organisations with capabilities in offering community-based assistance, safe accommodation, specialist advice, and perpetrator intervention programs will find these lots highly relevant. Opportunities abound for both established providers and new entrants aiming to expand their footprint in the public sector, leveraging the substantial funding and broad geographical coverage in the Essex region.
