## Summary

Leidos Supply, a public body working with the UK Ministry of Defence, is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process involving the supply and delivery of survival blankets. This procurement is categorised under rescue and emergency equipment, with a specific CPV code of 35112000. The project forms part of the logistics commodities and services transformation performed by Team Leidos. The estimated value of the framework is between £600,000 and £850,000, with the framework spanning up to four years and commencing in 2025. The initiative aims to ensure the needs of the Ministry of Defence are met efficiently and economically.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses capable of supplying goods that can actively warm and insulate patients in pre-hospital settings, specifically combatting hypothermia. Businesses specialising in medical equipment, especially those with expertise in emergency blankets with active heating elements, should find this opportunity particularly relevant. Suppliers must be equipped to deliver products that fulfil the stringent requirements for hypothermia mitigation and patient care in challenging environments. Given that this is a framework agreement, it provides a considerable market opportunity, though it does not guarantee business.
