Dementia is recognised under the Care Act as a statutory requirement.. The new contract(s) will need to be in place on 3rd February 2025 to ensure Somerset Council meets its statutory obligations under the Care Act to: * Promote greater choice and control for people in what care and support services they receive so that they can live their life the way they want to. * Ensure a more diverse market of care and support services that responds to people's needs and choices, that places a strong emphasis on quality ### Lot Information Lot 1 - Taunton Deane Taunton Deane - 14 Beds Renewal: There is an option to extend by mutual agreement for up to two further periods of up to 24 months each and one further period of up to 12 months.
