## Summary

Birmingham City Council has successfully completed the procurement process for the "Community Engagement Partners" project, aimed at improving the understanding of health requirements among Birmingham's diverse communities. The contracts, under the industry category of "Provision of services to the community" (CPV 75200000), have been awarded to various suppliers across multiple sub-lots for specific ethnic communities, including Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Somali, Polish, and Romanian communities. This open procedure procurement, worth a total of £540,000 GBP, began in August 2024 and concluded with contract signings in late December 2024 and early January 2025. Each sub-lot contract has a duration of two years with an optional extension of a further 12 months based on performance and funding availability.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in community health services, training, and cultural intelligence workshops. Engaging in this project allows businesses to establish and strengthen their presence in Birmingham by addressing health inequalities and collaborating with local authorities for a broader impact. The awarded contracts support initiatives such as public health information dissemination, focus groups, and training sessions, offering a platform for SMEs to leverage their expertise and expand their service offerings in the community health and public services domain. Suitable candidates for this tender include SMEs experienced in health literacy, community engagement, and co-production of solutions targeting health disparities.
