## Summary

The public procurement process initiated by Flood Re Limited seeks to procure external legal services for advising on and supporting the issuance of an indemnity trigger catastrophe bond (the "Cat Bond"). This tender falls under the services category, specifically internal audit services, and is situated in the UKI region. The process is currently in the 'tender' stage, with significant dates including a tender period end date on 2 September 2024 and a contract award starting on the same day. The procurement method being utilised is an open procedure, thereby ensuring transparency and competitive bidding. The contract duration is approximately six months, aligned with the issuance of the bond in March 2025, or until the end of October 2024 if the bond is not issued.

This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for firms specialising in legal services with expertise in insurance and reinsurance sectors. Businesses with experience in catastrophe bonds and long-term supplier relationships may find this contract particularly attractive. The tender’s focus on technical and price award criteria underscores the need for high-quality service delivery combined with cost efficiency. Engaging in this procurement process could lead to long-term relationships with Flood Re, a national agency dedicated to economic affairs, offering potential stability and recurring contract opportunities for proficient firms.
