## Summary

Reading Borough Council invites tenders for the provision of Sheltered Housing services including call monitoring, welfare check calls, and responder service, under an open procedure. This procurement falls under the industry category of Social Work Services (CPV: 85310000) and will cover sites in the UKJ11 region. Key dates include the tender period ending on 25th September 2024, with the contract commencing on 1st April 2025 and concluding on 31st March 2028, with an option of a two-year extension. The procurement process is currently in the 'tender' stage and seeks written submissions by the stipulated deadline, with bids to be opened at the Reading Borough Council Civic Offices.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in welfare services, emergency monitoring, and elder care technology. Companies with experience in managing alarm receiving centres or providing 24/7 emergency response services will find this contract an avenue for expansion. Additionally, enterprises that can seamlessly integrate digital monitoring systems and telecare technologies will be well-placed to compete. The extended contract period and the potential for a longer-term working relationship with a regional authority such as Reading Borough Council provide substantial business growth potential.
