## Summary

Norfolk County Council has awarded a contract entitled "Service User and Lived Experience Engagement" in the health and social work services category. The procurement process, handled via an open procedure, culminated in an active contract worth £341,000 being signed on October 1, 2024. The project aims to incorporate the voices of service users and those with lived experiences into the design and delivery of interventions, aligning with the National Drug Strategy 2021: From Harm to Hope. The contract locations cover regions UKH17, UKH16, and UKH15, utilising guidelines in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

This procurement offers substantial business growth potential, especially for organisations experienced in health and social work services. Engaging in this initiative can enhance a company’s portfolio by contributing to a meaningful cause that aims to improve recovery services for individuals affected by drug and alcohol use. Businesses adept in providing guidance and counselling services would be exceptionally suited to compete, bringing their expertise to support Norfolk's Lived Experience led recovery community. The focus on lived experience underlines a significant demand for empathetic and community-oriented service delivery.
