## Summary

Staffordshire County Council (SCC) is in the planning stage of a procurement process for the provision of nursing care services in Staffordshire County. The council has identified the need for two new 80-bed care homes located in Lichfield and Tamworth. They are considering the feasibility of building these homes and contracting a skilled provider to manage and staff the facilities. This procurement focuses on health and social work services, specifically nursing care, and is aligned with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements. The estimated opening date for the care homes is June 2028. Interested parties are asked to complete a questionnaire by 1 June 2027, though this is not a call for competition.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for experienced nursing care providers capable of delivering high-standard services. Businesses specialising in nursing home management and staffing can benefit by securing a long-term contract with the council. The successful provider will need to manage the homes effectively, ensure cost-efficient placements, and comply with CQC standards. This procurement is ideal for companies that excel in creating safe and comfortable environments for individuals with nursing needs and can seamlessly collaborate with social care and health professionals.
