## Summary

The NHS Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) is seeking to award a contract for the provision of redesigned non-statutory community-based perinatal mental health services. This open procedure is intended to establish a Prime Provider capable of delivering comprehensive health services that bridge the gap between primary care and specialist provision within the regions of Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. As of now, the procurement status is active, targeting the health services industry. The services are set to commence on 12th January 2026, with a contract duration of five years, extendable by up to two additional years. The tender process will end by 9th May 2025, marking the closing period for submitting proposals.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses experienced in the health services sector. Those able to offer a holistic approach, inclusive designs, and targeted outreach—especially to underserved communities—will thrive. Businesses specializing in socio-economic, cultural, and community support services, capable of forming partnerships or consortiums, could find this an advantageous contract. A total contract value of £1,554,000 over seven years signals a significant business opportunity, recommending this tender to enterprises that navigate health inequality and provide inclusive care solutions effectively. The ICB encourages innovative service models that cater to diverse community needs, supporting the broader health objectives in the region.

## Notice

NHS Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire ICB was looking to procure a new and redesigned set of non-statutory community-based perinatal mental health interventions that would help to reduce the gap between primary care and specialist perinatal mental health provision provided within Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). Following a comprehensive evaluation of all submitted proposals, it was determined that none adequately met the necessary criteria and was unable to award a contract. This procurement has therefore been abandoned, and the Commissioner will now begin to consider alternative options of how to commission provision for women and birthing people. This determination has been made in line with Regulation 15 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. A F02: Contract notice was published back on 7th March 2025 where details of the tender opportunity was made available to marketplace. Details of that notice can be found here - 2025/S 000-008357. This exercise was being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner
