## Summary

Hull City Council recently awarded a contract for providing removal services, which falls under the "services" industry category, specifically focusing on relocation services. The procurement process concluded with an award, and the successful contract with Hardakers Removals & Storage Limited was signed on 23rd June 2025, with the services set to last until 22nd June 2028, including an optional extension for another 12 months. This open procedure was completed through a one-stage tender process, and the contract is valued at approximately £450,000. The location associated with this contract is UKE11, which pertains to the area around Kingston upon Hull in the United Kingdom.

This tender creates substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs specialised in commercial and residential relocation services. Companies that offer high-quality service delivery with a strong emphasis on price competitiveness would be well-suited to compete in this space, as demonstrated by the award criteria which prioritised pricing at 60% and quality at 40%. The focus on quality and cost-efficiency highlights the need for businesses to leverage innovative service methodologies, safe handling practices, and efficient contract management to excel in such procurement opportunities.
