Contract value for Strand 4 is PS224,497 This Contract is for the development and delivery of peace building activity focusing on good relations, peace building, understanding difference, addressing sectarianism and racism, and embracing diversity. The project forms part of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan and is one strand of the wider Youth Empowerment Project - Inspiring Future Belfast which focuses on enabling young people to become ambassadors for peace in their communities and beyond with the goal of promoting and understanding peace. This contract contributes to the implementation of the Thriving and Peaceful Communities theme of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan. The project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

Lot 1

The Strand 4 Young Adults engages 96 Young Adults, aged 19-25 in a targeted cross community project focusing on building capacity of the young adults to develop as peer leaders in communities and help promote peace building. Participants will be engaged for 96 hours (100 hours for those young adults participating in an international residential). Contract value for Strand 4 is PS224,497 This Contract is for the development and delivery of peace building activity focusing on good relations, peace building, understanding difference, addressing sectarianism and racism, and embracing diversity. To engage 1,500 children in a targeted cross community project focusing on building friendships, making friends with others from different communities and understanding diversity through fun / life skills activity

Options: Contract delivery is up to October 2027. Any potential extension up to 6 months is subject to funding availability and necessary approvals.

Lot Lot 2 Strand 2 12-15 year olds (intermediate)

To engage 350 young people in targeted cross community activity focusing on relationship building, life skills and leadership, including an action learning element.

Lot Lot 3 Strand 3 - 16-18 year olds (Seniors)

To engage 160 young people in a targeted cross community project focusing on a citizenship intervention model that includes education & training in good relations, diversity, human rights, equality, social justice, advocacy, social action, lobbying and campaigning.

Options: Contract delivery is up to October 2027. Any potential extension up to 6 months is subject to funding availability and necessary approvals.

Lot Lot 4 Strand 4 19-25 year olds (young adults)

To engage 96 young adults in a targeted cross community project focusing on building capacity of the young adults to develop as peer leaders in communities and help promote peace building. Participants should have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills, qualifications, and experience in Community Leadership, Youthwork in local communities, Good Relations, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding.

Options: Contract delivery is up to October 2027. Any potential extension up to 6 months is subject to funding availability and necessary approvals.

To engage 1,500 children in a targeted cross community project focusing on building friendships, making friends with others from different communities and understanding diversity through fun / life skills activity
