## Summary

NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) is preparing to engage in the market for the distribution of advanced wound care products. This process is currently at the planning stage, indicated by a Prior Information Notice (PIN) with the intention to hold market engagement sessions in September 2024. The procurement process is governed under CELEX 32014L0024 and involves courier services throughout the UK. The estimated value of the framework agreement is £91 million over four years, starting from 3 August 2025. Potential suppliers must participate via the SAP Ariba portal, with all responses to be submitted through this platform. Interested parties are encouraged to complete the Request for Information (RFI) before the future notice date on 27 November 2024.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in healthcare logistics and distribution services. Suppliers with a focus on sustainability and social value stand to gain, as these elements will be heavily weighted during the evaluation phase. The tender is well-suited for organisations with robust delivery networks and experience in handling medical products, particularly those that can comply with the standards set by the NHS England Accredited Scheme. Furthermore, businesses with a valid DUNS number, needed for registering in the eSourcing system, are encouraged to engage in this process to potentially benefit from the high-value framework agreement with numerous NHS and Social Care organisations.
