## Summary

The procurement process, overseen by Clackmannanshire Council, involves the expansion of the School Age Childcare Early Adopting Communities Project, with significant services funding provided by the Scottish Government. This initiative targets child daycare services under the CPV classification "Child daycare services," and operates within the UKM72 region, focusing on Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The process is currently in the contract update stage, with recent developments extending the project across the 2026/2027 financial year. The project's contract period runs from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027 and has a substantial value of £10,649,523.90 GBP. The procurement method utilised is a limited procedure without prior publication, adhering to technical reasons laid out by the grant’s conditions.

This tender presents ample opportunities for businesses in child daycare services, especially those capable of supporting community-based childcare systems in Clackmannanshire. It particularly benefits organisations offering family support, employability services, and child activity provisions. Given its focus on expanding service capacity, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experienced in managing childcare projects are well-poised to contribute to and benefit from this initiative. The involvement of multiple suppliers, including Thrive Outdoors, Community House Ltd, Connect Alloa, and others, indicates collaborative opportunities to enhance local childcare infrastructure, thus fostering business growth and enriching community welfare.

## Notice

The Council is to continue to develop and test a community-based system of school age childcare in Alloa South and East Clackmannanshire and expand this system to include additional communities, over the relevant financial years.
