## Summary

The Durham County Council has initiated a tender process for a Framework Agreement focused on the design, supply, and installation of play space refurbishments within and around the County of Durham. This procurement falls under the construction work category (CPV code: 45000000) and is classified as works. The tender is currently in the active stage with the procurement method defined as a restricted procedure. Interested bidders must submit their proposals electronically by 26th September 2024. The framework aims to appoint five primary contractors and two reserve contractors based on a weighted evaluation of technical questions, social value (TOMS), and price.

This tender offers an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in construction, playground equipment, and related services to secure a spot on a significant regional framework. Companies that can deliver comprehensive solutions for play space refurbishments, particularly those with a focus on social value, are best suited to compete. The framework includes a first call-off contract for the Sedgefield Play Areas project, providing an immediate business growth prospect for the top-ranked bidder. The potential for additional projects funded by grants or other bodies further enhances the opportunities for participating firms.
