## Summary

The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) has initiated a tender process for a Night Vision Devices (NVD) Multi-Supplier Framework Agreement. This procurement involves the supply of helmet-mounted night vision equipment, including binoculars, monoculars, and wide-field view goggles, classified under the Telescopic sights category (CPV: 38633000). The framework, covering a period of seven years with an estimated value of £120 million, aims to provide flexible procurement for Front Line Commands (FLCs) in the UK. The procurement method employed is a selective, restricted procedure, with technical information sought from suppliers to qualify products onto the framework catalogue. Key dates include a tender period ending on 14 October 2024, with submissions accepted in English.

Participation in this Framework Agreement presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in the manufacturing and supply of night vision technologies. With potential support via the Surveillance Target Acquisition Support (STAS) Contract, businesses can expand their market reach and establish long-term relationships with the MOD. The procurement method fosters competitive bidding, particularly benefiting SMEs capable of providing high-quality, innovative solutions and willing to comply with the framework's requirements. By engaging in mini competitions within the framework, suppliers can maximise their exposure and potential revenue from government contracts, thereby facilitating business growth.
