## Summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council has announced an early market engagement for the recommissioning of its community services, which have been under a prime provider contract model since 2017. This procurement process is currently in the planning stage with a focus on services related to social work and related services. Two provider market engagement events are scheduled, one for incumbent providers by invitation and another for the wider market on 8th October 2024 from 10:00 to 14:00 at Bath Guildhall (Brunswick Room), High Street, Bath, BA1 5AW. The Council aims to engage suitably qualified providers to inform the next steps of the commissioning process, targeting services such as information and advice, support for carers, dementia support, and community-based support for mental health needs and learning disabilities, among others.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for service providers specializing in social work and community services. Companies offering expertise in independent living support, dementia care, support for people with mental health needs, and assistance for individuals with sensory impairments will find this opportunity particularly suitable. Engaging in this early market engagement allows businesses to influence the commissioning process and potentially develop long-term partnerships with the Council. Service providers will benefit from attending the market engagement events to gain insights and contribute to the shaping of future procurement processes in this vital industry category.
