## Summary

The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded the Pharmacy Contract 2024/25 to KEXBOROUGH Pharmacy. This contract, which falls under the health care services category, involves providing locally enhanced services for the Barnsley population in South Yorkshire. The contract was awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and does not fall under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The contracting process utilised a limited procurement method, specifically a direct award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The award status is active, and the contract will run from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in pharmacy services, especially those capable of integrating local service contracts with existing pharmacy contractual frameworks. It is particularly suitable for established providers that already hold a Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework and can enhance these services locally. The tender encourages innovation and competition in health service delivery, providing a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) like KEXBOROUGH Pharmacy to expand their market presence and contribute to the community's health improvement.

## Notice

The provider is commissioner to deliver locally enhanced services for the Barnsley population integrated with their additional pharmacy contracts.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This contract Award has been made following direct award process B of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (pharmacy) is because they are required to hold a contract via the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the (CPCF) contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount. For this reason not every Pharmacy delivers every LCS.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. This is an existing service delivered by an existing provider. The contract will run from 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025
