## Summary

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is currently in the tender stage for the "NICE External Assessment Groups Framework", a public procurement process valued at £3,345,000 GBP. This framework, focused on research and development services and related consultancy in the health sector, involves multiple Lots covering Clinical and Economic Evidence Assessment, Technical and Decision Support, Evidence Generation to support Access, and Research Governance and Ethics Support. The procurement process is being executed under an open procedure with submissions due by 13 January 2025. The framework agreement will allow for up to 999 suppliers to participate, and the contract period for each Lot is 630 days with optional extensions up to 24 months. The services will be delivered within the UKD region, with the tender aiming to source multidisciplinary groups with expertise in health technology assessment.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses with competencies in health technology evaluation and related services. Companies specialising in clinical and economic evidence analysis, data analytics, methodological advice, active surveillance, and research governance, either as independent entities or as part of consortia, can leverage this opportunity for growth by contributing to key NICE programmes. The framework encourages collaboration among suppliers to ensure comprehensive service offerings, thereby providing a platform for businesses to expand their portfolios and participate in influential health technology assessment and guideline development projects. Businesses with robust capabilities in these areas are well-suited to compete for the multiple Lots, potentially gaining long-term engagements and valuable industry connections.
