## Summary

Derby City Council is seeking a Provider to deliver a Family Time Service under an open procedure, classified under "Health and social work services" (CPV code: 85000000). This service is to be provided both within and outside Derby, focusing on supervised court-ordered contact for children and young people with their families. The procurement process, which is currently at the award stage, received an active contract on 16 December 2024. Key dates included a submission deadline of 20 October 2024, and active coordination after the award started on 21 October 2024. The awarded contract, valued at £316,800, is due to be signed with Children First Derby.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the health and social work sector to engage with local government and contribute to the local community by providing essential services. Businesses skilled in delivering flexible, responsive, and high-quality family support services, particularly those that can manage fluctuating demand outside regular working hours, would find this contract beneficial. SMEs like Children First Derby, which has been awarded the contract, demonstrate that smaller organisations are equally competitive in securing substantial public contracts, fostering growth and expansion opportunities.
