## Summary

Belfast City Council has issued a prior information notice for the upcoming PEACEPLUS Employability – Language Up Belfast programme. This initiative, classified under Education and Training Services (CPV: 80000000), is currently at the planning stage with significant pre-market engagement activities. A pre-market consultation event is scheduled for 3rd October 2024, from 10am to 12pm, at the Belfast City Council Offices, located at 9 Adelaide Street, Belfast, BT2 8GA. The programme spans three years starting January 2025 to December 2027, with an allocated budget of £447,513 (excluding VAT). Suppliers interested in attending the session must register by 30th September 2024. This initiative aims to enhance employability through vocational language training for non-native English speakers in Belfast, contributing to local community development efforts under the PEACEPLUS scheme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in educational and training services, particularly those with experience in language instruction and community integration programmes. Companies equipped to deliver structured language learning and practical employability skills can benefit from this contract by helping minority communities in Belfast integrate more effectively into the local economy. Organisations that focus on vocational education, community development, and have a track record of handling projects funded by EU programmes would find this tender especially suitable for their portfolios. Engaging in this procurement process could lead to potential long-term partnerships and expansion within the Belfast City Council’s local and regional community initiatives.
