## Summary

The procurement process for the Kishorn East Reclamation and Dry Dock Enlargement project was carried out by Kishorn Port Limited, a body governed by public law situated in Dingwall, United Kingdom. This project falls under the industry category of dry docks construction work, with a focus on expanding the existing dry dock by removing rock material to reclaim foreshore land. The awarded contract, valued at approximately £20.87 million, was signed on 2nd June 2025, with RJ McLeod (Contractors) Ltd emerging as the successful supplier. The process followed a restricted procedure approach, encompassing initial selection and shortlisting stages progressing to the award stage with due consideration to price and quality criteria. The delivery location of the project is at Kishorn Port & Dry Dock in Strathcarron, UKM6.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses specialising in large-scale construction, blasting design, and civil works. Firms with capabilities in delivering complex infrastructure projects could significantly benefit from participating in such procurement processes. The tender stipulates the use of selective procurement methods and promotes partnership with local suppliers, creating a conducive environment for regional businesses to collaborate and leverage their expertise and resources. This could further enhance the competitive positioning of firms within the dry docks construction and land reclamation sectors. Additionally, successful bidders are expected to present superior quality in health and safety, environmental standards, and effective methodological approaches, key aspects that could pave the way for future opportunities in the public works domain.
