## Summary

NHS England is in the process of awarding contracts for the Provision of Amyloidosis Networked Model of Care services, focusing on establishing regional centres to improve service accessibility and quality. This involves a Competitive Process overseen by NHS England's Highly Specialised Services with support from NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU). The procurement category is health and social work services, with regional centres planned for the Midlands and North West areas. The key dates include the start of the standstill period on 27 February 2025, representations to be made by 11 March 2025, and a formal award decision expected soon. The NHS England National Commissioning Group is the award decision-maker, and successful bids were evaluated based on quality, innovation, integration, collaboration, and social value, among other criteria.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those with expertise in health services and innovative care models. Companies capable of providing specialised care for rare conditions like amyloidosis, which involves a build-up of amyloid protein in organs and tissues, are well-placed to compete. The awarded contracts for the Midlands and North West regions, valued at £1,470,000 each, will enhance business growth by creating long-term partnerships and expanding service delivery in the healthcare sector. Large organisations such as University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust have already been identified as key suppliers, highlighting the importance of established experience and capability in delivering these intricate healthcare services.
