## Summary

Derby City Council has completed the award stage of a contract titled "TD2194- Extension to Managed Services for Temporary Agency Resources." This procurement, under the industry category of supply services of personnel including temporary staff, is aimed at ensuring the continued provision of temporary agency resources through March 2025, with options to extend until May 2025. The contract, valued at £2,200,000, was awarded to Matrix SCM Ltd and will cover comprehensive reporting, pre-employment checks, and the management of transactional processes through a web-based application. The procurement method utilised is limited, without prior publication of a call for competition, due to specific regulatory allowances. This process ensures uninterrupted services while a new procurement procedure is established.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in the supply of temporary staff services, particularly those capable of offering comprehensive candidate vetting and compliance checks. It is well-suited to businesses that can provide seamless integration with web-based and telephonic ordering systems, as well as those equipped to handle extensive pre-employment and retrospective employment checks. Companies specialising in grounds maintenance, street cleansing, market services, and refuse collection may also find this contract particularly relevant. By aligning with Derby City Council's requirements, suppliers can establish long-term relationships and secure a stable revenue stream during the contract period.

## Notice

Further extension to the council's original contract to allow a new procurement process to take place and to facilitate any potential implementation period. Ordering temporary agency workers through a web-based application and, when required, by telephone, with the web-based application used to manage the transactional processes associated with acquiring temporary and interim staff, inclusive of ordering, time-sheeting, and invoicing to create a fully auditable, reportable trail.
