## Summary

The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) is seeking to establish a framework for the provision of a Taylor Flow Reactor, specifically for the continuous process of co-precipitation of transition metal-precursors for battery material. The procurement process is in the "Tender" stage, employing an open procedure method. The procurement is for "Laboratory, optical and precision equipments" and is valued at £500,000. The location for delivery is in the UKC region. Key dates include the deadline for tender submissions on 31 October 2024 at 12:00 pm, followed by the award and bid opening ceremonies on the same day at 12:30 pm.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specializing in laboratory and precision equipment, especially those capable of supplying reactors with specific technical capabilities such as controlled reagent injection and precise temperature control. Firms providing ongoing support, including consumables, maintenance, and software, would find this tender especially advantageous. SMEs and large enterprises in the technical and manufacturing sectors that can meet these requirements should find this an excellent opportunity to expand their market presence and establish a long-term partnership with CPI.

## Notice

CPI wish to establish a framework for the provision of a Taylor Flow Reactor as and when required to Centre for Process Innovation (CPI). CPI has the requirement for continuous process for the co-precipitation of transition metal-precursors for battery material.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

CPI seeks a supplier who can provide a suitable reactor that can produce taylor flow throughout the reactor volume, with reagents being pumped into the vessel at a controlled rate. The volume of the reactor should be capable of working in the range from 1-10L and will typically be used in a lab environment. The reactor should be capable of temperature control in the range of 40 to 100 degC to an accuracy of +/- 0.5 degC. All associated pumps, heater/chillers and balances required for operation of a cathode active material co-precipitation reaction should be supplied within this tender.Ongoing supply of consumables, maintenance, software and add-ons for the equipment purchased under this tender is included within the scope of supply for this framework

Options: As stated in the procurement documents

Renewal: 1 x 12 month renewal
