## Summary

The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for GP Local Enhanced Services and Quality Contract 2024/25 to Dinnington Group Practice. This procurement, categorised under general practitioner services (CPV 85121100), is designed to enhance GP frameworks and is crucial for integrating additional services for the Rotherham population. The contract period spans from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, employing a Direct Award process. The procurement stage is complete, with the contractor signing on 1 April 2024. The procurement method was limited, as the contract falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This specific process ensures competitive fairness and regulatory compliance under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those capable of delivering comprehensive GP services within the framework of locally enhanced services. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) already involved in similar healthcare provisions would be well-positioned to compete in such procurements, capitalising on pre-existing frameworks and expertise. The flexible nature of this contract, driven by patient choice and activity, offers dynamic growth potential for service providers, aligning with national standards and ensuring a substantial patient-centric approach in the region. Potential bidders must meet specific criteria and are encouraged to align their offerings with NHS Payment Scheme mandates to benefit from future opportunities.

## Notice

The provider is commissioner to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population. CPV 85121100-4 General-practitioner services.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.
