## Summary

The University of East Anglia (UEA) has completed the procurement process for an Apparel Framework, aimed at standardising uniforms and leisurewear across various departments and sports teams. This process was conducted as a selective procurement using a restricted procedure, intended primarily for goods in the clothing and accessories category (CPV 18000000). The procurement entails the supply of uniforms for various UEA staff and students, including sportswear for university teams and kits for academic programmes. This framework supports UEA's commitment to ethical garment production. Located in Norwich, procurement milestones included tender period completion on 29 November 2024, with the contract awarded in March 2025. The awarded contract, signed with 99KITS. LTD, signifies the transition to the contract phase following the earlier active tender status.

This framework offers extensive growth opportunities for businesses specialising in clothing, sportswear, and occupational clothing due to substantial demand for varied uniform supplies. The contract award to 99KITS. LTD, an SME, exemplifies the University’s openness to working with smaller enterprises. Businesses capable of providing high-quality and ethically produced apparel, especially those familiar with supplying educational institutions, are well-positioned for future similar tenders. The procurement's quality criteria, emphasised at 60%, indicate a significant opportunity for companies committed to maintaining high standards in production and delivery. As the process used a restricted procurement method, businesses should ensure strong pre-qualification credentials for participation in such competitive, yet rewarding, opportunities.
