## Summary

Wakefield Council is inviting tenders for the procurement of Housing Related Support Pathways, a project falling under the social services industry category (CPV code 85320000). The procurement, which is in the tender stage, encompasses various service pathways designed to address housing-related needs within the Wakefield region. Key dates to note include the revised tender submission deadline now set for 25th November 2024. The procurement will follow an open procedure with electronic submission via the specified platform. This initiative reflects the council's effort to tackle local housing challenges, including the prevention of homelessness and support for vulnerable populations.

This contract offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in social services, housing support, and community welfare. Companies experienced in managing services for rough sleepers, mental health support, and family housing are particularly well-suited to these requirements. The tendering process opens the door for such enterprises to expand their portfolio within the public sector by contributing specialised expertise to Wakefield's comprehensive housing support system. Furthermore, the scale and variety of services required provide ample scope for both large firms and niche service providers to bid competitively and impact the local community positively.

## Notice

The Housing Related Support Pathways are being procured following a review to understand the needs, demands and supply of housing related support in Wakefield. The pathway services model was designed as a result of the review and included a single point of access (SPOA) role within the Council to manage referrals into the pathway services.
