## Summary

The Corporation of Trinity House, on behalf of itself and the other General Lighthouse Authorities (GLAs) of the United Kingdom and The Republic of Ireland, is in the process of procuring a contract for the brokerage, provision, and management of insurance requirements for the GLAs covering the period from 2025 to 2028, with possible extensions to 2030. This tender, with a budget of £7.9 million, falls under the industry category of Insurance Brokerage Services and is currently at the Tender stage. The procurement method used is an Open procedure, and proposals must be submitted by 15th November 2024. The services required include the management of the GLAs' protection, indemnity, and war risk insurance requirements, among others. The successful tenderer will manage the insurance requirements from 20th February 2025, with potential for contract extensions for an additional two years.

This tender represents a significant business opportunity for firms specialising in insurance brokerage services, particularly those with experience in the maritime sector. The contract offers a substantial value and a fixed price agreement for the initial three years, making it an attractive engagement for qualified firms. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as indicated by the contracting authority. To be competitive, businesses will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the GLAs' insurance needs, offer proactive advice on loss prevention, and manage claims efficiently. Companies with proven access to the required underwriting market for maritime and general liability policies will be well-suited to compete for this tender.
