## Summary

The Department for Transport (DfT) is currently in the tender stage for the "Approved Doctors Information System and Short Course Data Base Support and Maintenance 2.0" project, with a submission deadline of 18 November 2024. This procurement, classified under "System maintenance services" (CPV code 50324100), involves provisioning IT managed services to support and maintain the existing Approved Doctors Information System (ADIS) and Short Course Database (SCDB). The procurement will take place in Southampton, UK, under an open procedure. This tender presents significant growth opportunities for IT service providers specialising in system maintenance and managed services. Businesses capable of delivering comprehensive day-to-day application support, incident and problem management, security vulnerability patching, and system upgrades would be well-positioned to compete. Companies with experience in managing cloud health and third-party integrations stand to benefit the most, given the stringent requirements set by the DfT for proactive maintenance and timely resolution of issues. This opportunity is ideal for vendors seeking long-term government contracts with the potential for recurring work, given the assurances of continuous improvement and consistent renewal considerations.
