## Summary

The Nottinghamshire County Council has recently updated its procurement contract for the Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing programme, aimed at 0-19 year-olds under the Healthy Child Programme. This initiative falls under the health services industry category and aims to deliver a comprehensive suite of health services, including developmental reviews, health needs assessments, and various public health programmes such as the Family Nurse Partnership and breastfeeding support. The procurement is currently in the contract update stage, with modifications extending the programme's contract until 30th September 2025. The services will be provided across the County of Nottinghamshire, specifically in regions UKF15 and UKF16, by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The total value of the contract is GBP 120,041,807, and it aims to continue from the previously established operations in 2017, initially set to last 2700 days.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses within the healthcare services sector to engage in a long-term, high-value contract supporting public health initiatives. Organisations experienced in public health, nursing services, and early intervention programmes are well-positioned to contribute valuable expertise and integrate existing health services within Nottinghamshire. Businesses specialising in family health services, public health nursing, and lifestyle promotion can leverage this contract to expand their operations and establish a robust presence in the public sector. Engaging in this procurement process could significantly bolster a company's portfolio, showcasing their ability to deliver comprehensive health services under structured and regulated frameworks.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The transfer of commissioning responsibility for public health nursing services for 0-5 year-olds, from NHS England to Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) in October 2015, brought together commissioning responsibility for all public health nursing services for 0-19 year-olds within Nottinghamshire and offered opportunities for integration. Nottinghamshire County Council is now seeking to procure an integrated Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing programme for 0-19 year olds, to be operational from 1.4.2017. The primary aim of the service will be to offer an integrated public health nursing service in line with the Healthy Child Programme to all families in Nottinghamshire. The Healthy Child Programme is the Department of Health's early intervention and prevention public health programme. It offers every family a programme of developmental reviews, health needs assessments and information and guidance to support parenting and promote healthy choices. The integrated service will deliver: - Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years and 5-19 years (public health nursing) - Family Nurse Partnership Programme (FNP) - National Child Measurement Programme - Breastfeeding support - Promotion of public health and healthy lifestyle choices and brief intervention, making every contact count.
