## Summary

NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has completed the contract award stage for the "Pharmacy Local Enhanced Services 2024/25" under the Provider Selection Regime. The contract, which runs from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025, has been awarded to Medwin Pharmacy in Rotherham, in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This procurement falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract focuses on locally enhanced pharmacy services for the Rotherham population and is categorised under "Pharmacy services" (CPV Code: 85149000). The procurement method was a limited award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition.

This tender presents significant opportunities for pharmacy service providers to engage in the delivery of essential healthcare services, supporting the NHS's efforts to improve localised care. Businesses already involved in the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) are in a prime position to benefit from this contract, as the enhanced services are designed to complement existing contractual obligations. By participating in this regime, established pharmacies can expand their service offerings, enhance their reputation, and contribute to better healthcare outcomes in the region. The activity-based payment system ensures providers are compensated according to local price metrics, aligning performance incentives with service delivery.

## Notice

The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population. This contract Award has been made following direct award process B under the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (pharmacy) is because they are required to hold a contract via the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the (CPCF) contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount. For this reason not every Pharmacy delivers every LCS.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract award is from 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025. This is an existing service from an existing provider. Additional information: The contract value is unknown. The provider is paid in line with the relevant unit prices for the activity delivered in accordance with the nationally mandated NHS Payment Scheme

### Procurement Information

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
