## Summary

NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for "Pharmacy Local Enhanced Services 2024/25 – Rawmarsh Pharmacy". This contract, falling under the procurement stage of award, pertains to the healthcare industry, specifically focussing on pharmacy services. The services will be delivered in Rotherham, starting from 1st April 2024 and concluding on 31st March 2025. This contract was awarded through a limited procurement method, specifically under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) as dictated by the Health Care Services Regulations 2023, bypassing the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract was awarded to Rawmarsh Pharmacy, with the decision confirmed by the Director of Partnerships/Deputy Place Director at Rotherham Place, and no conflicts of interest were identified during the award process.

This tender creates significant opportunities for existing and compliant pharmacy providers who are equipped to deliver locally enhanced services that align with the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF). Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the healthcare sector, particularly those specialising in pharmacy services, are well-suited to compete for similar opportunities, provided they meet the contract criteria and specification. The contract allows providers to be compensated based on local activity prices, motivating pharmacies to deliver high-quality services to the Rotherham population. This ongoing and stable contract can provide a reliable revenue stream and foster long-term business growth within the local healthcare industry.

## Notice

The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population. This contract Award has been made following direct award process B under the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (pharmacy) is because they are required to hold a contract via the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the (CPCF) contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount. For this reason not every Pharmacy delivers every LCS.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract award is from 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025. This is an existing service from an existing provider. Additional information: The contract value is unknown. The provider is paid in line with the relevant unit prices for the activity delivered in accordance with the nationally mandated NHS Payment Scheme

### Procurement Information

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
