## Summary

The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 for delivering locally enhanced pharmacy services in Rotherham. The contract, entitled "Pharmacy Local Enhanced Services 2024/25 – York Road Pharmacy," falls under the services category, specifically pharmacy services (CPV code 85149000). This procurement process was completed through a limited, direct award method, with the contract set to run from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025. The procurement falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and does not involve a call for competition.

This tender provides significant opportunities for pharmacies that are already part of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF). Given the requirement to deliver these locally enhanced services alongside existing CPCF services, it is ideal for those already familiar with and compliant with CPCF stipulations. Businesses like York Road Healthcare Ltd., an SME in Rotherham, have been awarded this contract due to their ability to meet the specified criteria and their integrated approach in providing these essential health services. Pharmacies meeting the necessary standards and wishing to enhance their service offerings should consider such tenders to expand their service delivery footprint and contribute to community health improvement.

## Notice

The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population. This contract Award has been made following direct award process B under the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (pharmacy) is because they are required to hold a contract via the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the (CPCF) contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount. For this reason not every Pharmacy delivers every LCS.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract award is from 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025. This is an existing service from an existing provider. Additional information: The contract value is unknown. The provider is paid in line with the relevant unit prices for the activity delivered in accordance with the nationally mandated NHS Payment Scheme

### Procurement Information

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
