## Summary

The procurement process for the "Provision of National Driver Offender Re-Training Schemes" was initiated by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). This contract focuses on driving-school services within the education and training industry category, specifically targeting safety education services across Northern Ireland. The tender process was carried out as an open procedure under the 2014/24/EU directive, providing a comprehensive platform for potential suppliers to bid. Key dates included an extended deadline for tenders originally scheduled for 28th November 2024, which was moved to 9th December 2024. The contract, with an estimated value of GBP 640,000, was awarded on 30th June 2025. The process is designed to comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, including a standstill period for any challenges to the award decision.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses in the education and logistics sectors, particularly those with expertise in driving and safety training. SMEs with innovative approaches in these fields, capable of delivering National Safe and Considerate Driving Courses, National Speed Awareness Courses, and similar programmes, would be well-suited to compete. The contract allows for a three-year initial term with the possibility of a 24-month extension, providing long-term growth prospects for the successful supplier. By participating, businesses can leverage this opportunity to establish partnerships with public law bodies and enhance their portfolio through strategic engagement with significant public sector contracts. The meticulous monitoring and evaluation of contractor performance underline the importance of maintaining high service standards to continue benefiting from such collaborations.
