## Summary

Kirklees Council, in collaboration with Greater Huddersfield and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Groups, has concluded a competitive procurement exercise for the provision of domiciliary care services under a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) following a Restricted Procedure. The awarded contracts fall under the health and social work services category (CPV: 85000000) and will take place within the Kirklees region. This procurement aims to enhance personal care and support services provided to adults aged 18 and over, aiding them to live independently and comfortably in their homes. The procurement process was completed in September 2024, with numerous contracts being signed on 30th September 2024, each serving various care needs and fostering greater market capacity for domiciliary care providers.

This tender creates ample opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in health and social care services to engage and expand their operations. The DPS structure allows multiple providers to compete for individual care packages, ensuring a steady inflow of business. Businesses with expertise in varied care needs—ranging from older age and sensory impairment to mental health and substance misuse—are particularly well-suited to participate. The focus on personalised and high-quality care, paired with guaranteed fixed hourly rates, makes this tender an attractive proposition for enterprises looking to establish or strengthen their presence in the domiciliary care market within the Kirklees area.

## Notice

Kirklees Council, in conjunction with the Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group, has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of domiciliary care services. The purpose of the procurement exercise is to seek and appoint providers to the DPS, who have the relevant skills and experience, for the delivery of personal care and support (domiciliary care) in service users homes. Kirklees Council and the CCG's have established a DPS to be able to access additional capacity in the market and be able to purchase services to support people to live successfully in their own homes with an appropriate range of person centred services and to enable Service Users receiving care to lead a good quality of life, maximising their independence, remain safe and comfortable in their own homes for as long as possible whilst maintaining their individual dignity, privacy and freedom of choice.

### Lot Information
