## Summary

The NHS Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) is initiating a multi-lot competitive tender for the provision of Dementia Post Diagnostic Support Services in the health and social work services category. This process is governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The tender will open on 28th October 2024, with submissions due by 25th November 2024 at 12:00 PM via the Atamis e-sourcing portal. The ICB plans to begin commissioning these services from 1st July 2025 for an initial duration of three years, with an optional two-year extension. The location for the contracts is within various regions of Lancashire and South Cumbria, including Blackpool, East Lancs, Central & West Lancs, Blackburn with Darwen, Lancs North, and South Cumbria. Specific budgets have been allocated for each lot, and the total contract value over six lots including potential extensions could be up to £4,468,847.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for specialised service providers in the health and social care sector, particularly those experienced in dementia care. Ideal contenders would be organisations capable of delivering tailored, multi-layered post-diagnostic support services, which include personalised information, advice, therapy, carer support, and community engagement. Businesses that excel in providing flexible and comprehensive care options, along with robust coordination services, are likely to be well-suited for this tender. Successful bidders will be expected to establish and maintain strong links with existing support networks to ensure ongoing assistance throughout the progression of dementia.
