## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) - Procurement Services, on behalf of the NHS Wales Executive's Strategic Programme for Urgent and Emergency Care, has completed the procurement process for the "Clinical Support Hub Mobile Resource Pilot." The contract, valued at £180,000, was awarded on 28th October 2024 and involves ambulance services to be provided by St John Ambulance Cymru. This initiative aims to establish a 12-month pilot for a support service managing patients via the Clinical Support Hub (CSH) across regional areas in Wales. The service will operate in North, East, and West Wales, addressing winter pressures with provisions to conduct medical observations, patient assessments, and transport services during weekends and bank holidays.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those with capabilities in mobile medical support and patient transport. Companies that can offer innovative solutions and quality patient care management are well-suited to compete for similar future contracts, as successful pilots may lead to longer-term engagements. Additionally, businesses with experience in delivering flexible medical response services can leverage the insights gained from this pilot to enhance their service offerings and expand their market presence within the public healthcare sector.
