## Summary

Established by ESPO, a UK regional or local authority, the framework agreement is aimed at the design, supply, installation, maintenance, and inspection of outdoor playground, fitness, and sports facilities and equipment. The procurement falls under the goods category and features multiple lots addressing various sectors including playground equipment and sports surfaces. The current stage is the Tender with an anticipated contract period starting on 1st June 2025 and ending on 31st May 2027. The tendering process operates on an open procedure, covering the entire UK region, and suppliers can bid on multiple lots with a maximum validity period for bids set for 120 days from the 16th January 2025. This tender highlights non-price criteria prioritising quality in awarding decisions, fostering competitive bidding among suppliers.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in sectors related to playground equipment, sports facilities, urban furniture, and landscaping services. SMEs are encouraged to compete, benefiting from ESPO’s commitment to monitoring financial stability and offering extended framework agreements. Suppliers specialising in innovative design or bespoke solutions for recreational areas, fitness equipment, or surfacing like synthetic grass and rubber are particularly well-suited to participate. With the possibility for subsequent framework agreements through ESPO Trading Limited targeting third sector organisations, this procurement opens doors for wide-reaching business growth and collaboration opportunities across public and third sector markets within the UK.
