## Summary

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust has issued an intention to award notice for the "D2A Intermediate Care Services" contract, primarily focusing on delivering health-based enabling care packages within patients' homes to manage winter pressures. This contract falls under the health services industry category and will be executed county-wide in Cambridgeshire (UKH). The procurement process, adhering to the PSR regulations 2023, is in the Award stage with representations by providers required by 8th November 2024. The procurement method employed is a limited procedure without prior publication of a call for competition due to the regulatory scope outside the directive's application.

This tender provides business growth opportunities, especially for large healthcare service providers capable of delivering health-based care directly in patients' homes. The requirement includes providing up to 14 D2A cars per day to cater to fluctuating demands in care services. The ability to engage in daily and weekly multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings and deliver ongoing rehabilitation prompts is a necessity. Given the contract's value of £452,760 and specific health needs, businesses specialising in health services and possessing the capability to offer timely and adaptive home care support will be particularly well-suited to compete.
